Questions we hear

If yours isn't here, call the studio or send a message.

How do I try a class?

Pick a class from the schedule and book a visit on our registration page. Arrive ten minutes early, and the teacher will meet you at the door.

Which class is right for my child?

Classes are grouped by age and level. First Steps is for new dancers of 6 to 8 and Time Steps for 9 to 15. Tell the teacher what your dancer has done before, and they will place them at the door.

What should we wear?

Anything you can move in. Clean sneakers or socks are fine for the first weeks, and the teacher will tell you when tap or jazz shoes are needed.

Do I need to stay?

Dancers of 6 to 9 have a grown-up waiting in the hall. Older dancers join the class on their own, and adults come alone.

May I watch a class?

Yes. The sixth week of every session is a watch week, and a window in the hall lets families look in on other days.

What is a level, and how does a dancer move up?

Four levels share the floor, from First Steps to the Performance Group. The teacher and the family decide together, after a session. There is no test.

What are the extras?

A costume for the May recital, a recital production charge, tickets for guests, and tap and jazz shoes. The how tuition works page says what each one is for.

How are photos handled?

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

What if we miss a class?

A missed class can be made up in another class of the same level, or the level just below it, within the same session.

How does tuition work?

It depends on the level and how many classes a week a dancer takes. How tuition works says what sets it, and our registration page has the figures.
