How tuition works
No surprises: here is what sets tuition, what the extras are for, and where to find the figures.
What sets tuition
Tuition depends on the level and on how many classes a week a dancer takes. The class length, the age group and whether the class is tap, jazz, Open Floor or the performance group all play a part. The figures are on our registration page, and we are glad to talk them through on the phone.

Registration
A yearly registration covers the studio's file for your dancer, the studio's insurance and your place in the parent portal. It is due when you register for your first session.
Billing
Tuition is billed monthly, by autopay through the parent portal, or by the session if you would rather pay once. Open Floor evenings can be paid by the session.
Siblings
A second dancer in the family is handled differently from the first. Ask us when you register and we will tell you how.
Missed classes and make-ups
A missed class can be made up in another class of the same level, or the level just below it, within the same session. Book it at the front desk or by message.
Uniforms, costumes and other costs
Costumes are ordered in the winter and billed before the recital in May, with one costume for a dancer's class or group. The recital has a production charge for each dancer, and guests need tickets. Tap and jazz shoes are bought by the family. We don't enter competitions, so there are no entry or travel costs.

Withdrawing
We ask for a month's notice before a dancer leaves, so we can offer the place to someone on the waitlist. A costume that has already been ordered for the recital is still billed.
Help with tuition
Ask us whether assistance is open this month. We hold a few places each session for dancers whose families need it, and we talk it over privately.
